Open Lunar Foundation MOM signature

🚀✨ A milestone moment at #IAC2025 today: JAOPS and the Open Lunar Foundation officially signed the Lunar Ledger Memorandum of Understanding. The signing ceremony took place at the heart of the JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency booth.

Rachel Williams (Open Lunar Foundation Executive Director) and Alejandro Sela (JAOPS CEO) came together to formalize our shared commitment to transparent, collaborative lunar operations.

The Lunar Ledger is a global database designed to coordinate and document lunar missions: past, present, and future. By joining this initiative, JAOPS reinforces its dedication to responsible space activity and open data practices.

🤝Under this agreement:

- JAOPS will contribute mission data to the Lunar Ledger to support coordination and planning and serve as an initial adopter, providing feedback and actionable use cases.
-  Open Lunar will maintain the platform and host regular partner meetings.
-  Both parties commit to mutual transparency, respect for sensitive data, and sector leadership.

This partnership reflects the spirit of lunar exploration: collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking. We’re proud to be part of building the infrastructure that will support the next generation of lunar missions.
