Our Mission
JAOPS has been working on space operations software development for ground systems and simulation environments for the last 20 years. We have deployed several MCCs around the world and we have worked on shifts a big part of our career. We have a high-level understanding of different operational environments with hands-on on in the International Space Station, Earth Observation, Lunar lander missions, and rover missions. But overall, we are a group of friends who love doing things properly and who enjoy this awesome job!

Alejandro Sela
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Alejandro Fernandez Sela holds an MBA in Aerospace from EOI Madrid and has nearly two decades of experience in the Space Sector. With comprehensive expertise spanning all stages of space product development, he has successfully contributed to various aspects, ranging from initial conceptual design to decommissioning. His extensive background encompasses Operations, Marketing, Testing, and Integration.
Louis Burtz
Co-Founder & Chief Mission Officer
Louis Burtz earned a Master of Engineering in Space Systems Design and Control from ISAE-SUPAERO and a Master of Science in Astrophysics and Planetology from Universite Toulouse III. At ispace, he worked on the Hakuto lunar rover from conceptual design to flight model qualification, while the company grew from 10 to 100+ employees.
Louis specializes in systems engineering for mobile robotics, autonomy and mission operations including lunar rover field testing and virtual simulation. At LunarVision, he worked and consulted on these topics within teams in the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Oman and the UAE. Most recently he serves as Chief Mission Officer for JAOPS, providing simulation software, mission control tools and operator training services to ensure the success of space exploration missions.
